And if that weren’t enough, we also offer our employees highly competitive insurance benefits, Paid Time Off, and a matching 401(k) program.Job Description:Summary: The Maintenance Supervisor acts as a direct supervisor on all aspects related to the work of the maintenance crew, including daily input for work assignments, equipment and materials used, and scheduling and leading all the weekly and monthly safety meetings. The Maintenance Supervisor also coordinates and takes bids from any sub-contractors or vendors used by the company.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Supervise the maintenance crew’s daily work for accuracy, completion and to ensure safe working habitsTranscribe the daily work orders, damage release forms, and the accident forms and enter them into THORS codes and MMISCoordinate the daily schedules with the maintenance crew and any sub-contractor being usedDelegate work assignments to have needed procedures completed and done in a timely mannerCollect and gather quotes from current and potential sub-contractors and vendors to provide services outside of the scope of those provided by the maintenance crewTrain the maintenance crew on safety that involves working on the roadway and using a wide-range of equipmentDirect the maintenance crew to perform under the LBJ Infrastructure Group guidelines and safety proceduresPerform other duties and responsibilities as requiredQualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Education, Experience & Certification:1 to 3 years of experience in supervision of roadway maintenance or construction with traffic controlHigh school diploma or equivalent required, some college or an associate’s degree is preferredSpecific knowledge of best-practices, methods, materials, and equipment used in roadway maintenance (inclusive of specification writing experience for equipment)Familiarity with traffic control and requirements set forth in the Texas Manual on Uniform Traffic Control DevisesMust possess a Class “A” Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with endorsement of air brakes, or a valid class “B” CDL permit with the above endorsement, or the ability to obtain a CDL within 30 days of employmentProfessional Qualities:Effectively oversee, manage and delegate a team of 7 to 10 maintenance employeesEffectively manage tasks and deadlinesAbility to interact with colleagues in a team structureMust be able to multitask and problem solve within a fast-paced environmentComputer Skills: Must be able to demonstrate computer proficiency, especially as to Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point and other PC based programsFamiliarity with a Maintenance Management Information SystemWork Environment & Physical Demands:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
