**Job Description**:
As Analyst, Global Supply Chain Network Optimization & Design, you will be responsible for leading CHEP network optimization projects, analyzing the output, and recommending changes to drive the lowest cost solution in a $2B+ supply chain. Utilizing best in class optimization technology and techniques, the individual will develop a supply chain model, analyze various solutions & make recommendations to both global & local Supply Chain & Finance leadership.
Main Accountabilities
- Actively engages with Retail Supply Chain, Operations, Planning, and Logistics partners to understand implications of proposed changes to the CHEP network.
- Develop Llamasoft models to assist decision making and direction for proposed changes.
- Uses a broad understanding of CHEP supply chain to develop first-level savings projections to determine if new on-site operations will be viable based on market needs and operational/ transportation constraints.
- Recommend alternatives and challenge convention to ensure the best solution for both CHEP and the customers is brought forward.
- Proactively identify opportunities within the supply chain that will drive exceptional value to both CHEP and the customers
- Drive overall CHEP supply chain design solutions that will reduce supply chain costs and empower further strategic network opportunities in conjunction with other Global Network Planning team members.
- Work with business partners to expand current business by demonstrating cost savings and benefits of using CHEP within the supply chain.
- Articulate findings of new opportunities to seek buy-in from CHEP senior leadership for approval and implementation.
- Analyse various “what-if” supply chain scenarios to prepare a cost/benefit analysis of proposed change
**Qualifications**:
- BS, BA or equivalent and 2 years related experience in supply chain or general business discipline
Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience with supply chains
- Minimum 2 years’ experience with data analysis
Skills and knowledge
- Optimization software skills
- Strong analytical skills, including proficiency with Excel
- Demonstrated ability to develop and foster relationships across multiple functions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent presentation skills (Tableau experience a plus)
- Effectively communicate with all levels of people in the organization
- Decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Effectively prioritize multiple goals to ensure time is spent on most valuable activities
- Work independently with little supervision
Languages
English fluency is required
Spanish would be an advantage
Preferred Education
Degree and equivalent - Industrial Engineering
Preferred Level of Work Experience
3 - 5 years
