Finance Application Architect

**Overview**

The Finance Application Architect (TM1) is a key contributor in designing, developing, and maintaining financial planning and analytics solutions using IBM Planning Analytics (TM1)

Customization of IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) for Pepsico is known as Mosaic initiative.

This role combines technical expertise with a deep understanding of finance processes to create robust, scalable, and efficient systems that enable data-driven decision-making.

The focus of this role includes:

- Mosaic Core Model deployment
- Architectural design for future Mosaic solutions
- Enhancing scalability, performance, and integration

Additionally, this position plays a vital role in cross-functional collaboration, ensuring seamless integration with Datalike and other systems, optimizing financial workflows, and driving best-in-class architectural practices in financial analytics.

**Responsibilities**

Your day to day with us:
1. Solution Architecture & Deployment
- Co-Lead and support the end-to-end architecture and deployment of Mosaic Core 2.0, ensuring alignment with global guidelines.
- Design scalable, high-performance financial planning solutions using IBM Planning Analytics (TM1).
- Define and implement best practices for TM1/Planning Analytics model development and optimization.
- Ensure architecture meets business needs while maintaining governance, compliance, and performance.

2. Finance Application Strategy & Design
- Collaborate with key finance and business stakeholders to translate business objectives into scalable architectural solutions.
- Lead the design and advisory for future Mosaic enhancements, ensuring future-proofing and adaptability.

3. Performance Optimization & Scalability
- Implement strategies to enhance system performance and reduce processing time in large-scale TM1 models.
- Optimize data flows, cube calculations, and model structuring for efficient financial reporting and analysis.

4. Data Integration & Automation
- Manage seamless integration between TM1 and Other systems (Data Lake, Alteryx, etc. )
- Automate data loading, transformation, and reconciliation.

5. Governance, Compliance & Best Practices
- Review, align and enforce TM1 development standards, governance policies, and version control.
- Maintain high data accuracy, reliability, and auditability in financial models.

6. Training, Support & UAT
- Conduct training sessions for finance teams to maximize their use of TM1.
- Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and provide ongoing advisory support to optimize financial workflows.

**Qualifications**

**What you will need to succeed**

Technical Expertise
- Proficiency in TM1 model development, TurboIntegrator scripting, rules, feeders, and cube design.
- Expertise in relational databases, data modeling, and ETL processes.
- Experience with TM1 add-ins (Planning Analytics for Excel) and integration with visualization tools.

Finance Process Knowledge
- Deep understanding of budgeting, forecasting, consolidation, and financial reporting. Ability to design financial solutions aligned with business priorities and goals.

Solution Architecture & Advisory
- Ability to architect scalable, reliable, and future-proof solutions.

Communication & Leadership

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Experience integrating TM1 with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).
- Exposure to TM1 Cloud and Agile methodologies.
- Experience leading finance digital transformation projects.
