Commissioning Engineers play a vital role in performing Electrical and PLC software commissioning activities within the allocated cost and time scale constraints of the material-handling project. They also ensure the commissioning activities follow the correct methods and standards to meet the requirements of the customer's project.

**Tasks and Qualifications**:
**Main Job Objectives**:

- Deliver the assigned project scope and tasks by meeting\exceeding our safety, quality, On-Time-Delivery and budget requirements.
- To commission controls systems on-site including electrical and PLC software commissioning and to provide support to system test activities and training for the end user
- To produce commissioning documentation including, but not limited to, commissioning checklists, test specifications, Method Statements and Risk Assessments for Automated solutions to BS EN ISO 12100.
- To interpret electrical schematics and design input information.
- Ensure systems supplied are CE Compliant to the Machinery Directive.
- Commission Safety Related Part of the Controls system solutions to the regulations and in accordance with BS EN ISO 13849/13850/60204 etc.

- To liaise with other Company Departments, Customers and sub-contractors.
- To maintain and use wherever possible Dematic standards.

- To promote personal and business continuous improvement and development of processes to achieve improved time cost and quality or project delivery.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- HNC or HND in Electrical/Controls Engineering.
- Experience with electrical commissioning activities.
- Experience with PLC commissioning activities would be an advantage but not essential to this position as we would look to invest in your development here.
- An understanding of automated warehouses is desirable, not essential.
- Hands-on experience with Electrical commissioning.
- Exposure to PLC, HMI, or SCADA development activities would be an advantage but not essential.
- Ability to understand Electrical and Electronic technical manuals & drawings.
- Good understanding of bus systems
- Understanding of distributed control systems is desirable, not essential.
- Role will require extensive travel to customer sites up to 80% within the EMEA European region including travel to other Dematic offices or facilities across Europe in the undertaking of duties.
- Full driver’s license to support the travel requirements of the role.
- Possibility to be home base.
- Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering
