Global Commodity Manager IT

Siemens is looking for a global commodity manager in Horizontal IT who will be responsible for strategic IT Procurement activities, mainly Application Management Services (AMS), striving for optimum conditions on an excellent supplier base through pooling volumes and common strategies. Strong & close alignment with Global Commodity Management.

- In the area ofcommodity management, you will continuously improve and develop our IT value sourcing concept and the associated IT consulting / AMS sourcing strategy
- Based on the IT strategy and the requirements, you derive the best possible sourcing strategy for the respective technologies and/or areas. Here you will work closely with the respective regions/country procurements to translate the global strategy into local requirements
- In the area of stakeholder/customer management you assume the role of a demand manager as well as a sales employee or ambassador
- You take over the supplier management. This includes supplier selection, the 360° review of IT value sourcing suppliers in terms of performance, strategic footprint, and development requirements. Here you actively promote supplier development in cooperation with IT stakeholders
- You conduct annual price negotiations for CIBA rate cards for selected countries and extend or update existing master agreements or MSAs. You will also be responsible for the tenders and negotiations for projects
- You will promote strategic projects with global impact to industrialize the AMS procurement function, conduct pilot projects and support roll-out in selected regions and countries
**Who are we looking for?**
- You have successfully completed your degree in industrial engineering, business informatics, business administration or a comparable degree
- Professional experience in IT procurement/ procurement related function
- In depth knowledge of IT Provider market in the IT Commodities: Software engineering, IT Consulting, Application Management,
- Deep experience in Procurement processes. Fast adaption of Siemens internal Procurement processes and tools
- This role will be interacting with peers globally and thus involves experience of working with different cultures and working in multi-cultural teams.**Company**: Siemens S.A.
