We are looking for a **Senior Azure System Engineer** to join a cross-functional DevOps team developing cutting-edge **cloud-based SaaS solutions** for the Swiss healthcare sector. You will play a key role in designing, implementing and maintaining complex infrastructure in **Microsoft Azure**, with a strong focus on automation, security, scalability, and performance.

This position is part of a strategic project led by **Swisscom** in collaboration with international teams.

**Your role**
- Design, plan and implement modern, secure, and scalable infrastructure in **Azure**.
- Manage infrastructure using **Infrastructure as Code (IaC)** with **Terraform** and **Ansible**.
- Automate deployments and operations via **CI/CD pipelines** using **Azure DevOps**.
- Work with **Kubernetes (AKS)** and container-based solutions to support scalable deployments.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of monitoring, alerting and performance tools using **Prometheus**, **Grafana**, and **Azure Monitor**.
- Collaborate with international Agile teams and participate in occasional off-hours activities (e.g., releases, on-call).

**Technical Skills**
- Strong hands-on experience with **Microsoft Azure** (VMs, AKS, Entra ID, Storage, Backup)
- Solid knowledge of **Terraform** and **Infrastructure as Code**
- Experience with **Kubernetes (AKS)** and **Docker**
- Familiarity with **CI/CD** tools (Azure DevOps, Git)
- Scripting and automation with **PowerShell**, **Azure CLI** or **Bash**
- Understanding of **Networking** in cloud environments (VNet, routing, topologies)
- Experience with **Monitoring and Observability tools**: Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor
- Knowledge of **Azure IAM** and security best practices
- Working knowledge of **Relational Databases** (Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL)

**Soft Skills**
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently
- Demonstrated experience in **remote work** environments (documented or verifiable)
- Problem-solving mindset with curiosity to learn and improve
- Fluent in **English** (spoken and written)
