**Description**:
The tasks to be carried out will be, among others:

- Managing accounting transactions.
- Capital assets reconciliations.
- Preparing budget forecasts.
- Publishing financial statements in time.
- Handling monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
- Reconciling accounts payable and receivable.
- Ensuring timely bank payments.
- Computing taxes and supervise tax returns.
- Preparing balance sheets and profit/loss statements.
- Providing support with research project financial audits.

**Requirements**:

- M.Sc. or B.Sc. degree in Economics, Business Administration os similar.
- At least 2 years of experience as an accountant in a non-profit research center.
- Experience in accounting of public funded grants.
- Deep knowledge of Spanish accounting and fiscal laws.
- Fluent in English speaking, writing, and reading.
- Fluent in Spanish speaking, writing, and reading.
- Expert user of Excel spreadsheets.

The following are desirable qualifications:

- Expert user of Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
- Experience using Subversion and/or Git repositories.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure.
- Capable team player.

The starting date will be as soon as possible once the selection process has completed.
