Summary
Join the Engineering team at Grand Hyatt Barcelona as a **Maintenance & Process Administration Trainee** This is not a hands-on maintenance role — instead, you’ll play a key part in ensuring our maintenance operations run smoothly behind the scenes. You'll support administrative tasks, help organize and track preventive maintenance plans, analyze data using Excel, and prepare reports or presentations in PowerPoint. This role is ideal for students who are organized, curious about hotel operations, and eager to gain experience in administrative process improvement.
**Main Responsibilities**:
- Update and maintain preventive maintenance schedules
- Support the Engineering team with reporting and internal documentation
- Organize supplier information, maintenance logs, and compliance records
- Use Excel for analysis and tracking KPIs
- Create PowerPoint presentations for internal use
- Assist in coordinating external service providers

What You’ll Do
- Support the day-to-day administrative tasks of the Engineering Department
- Assist in organizing and tracking maintenance schedules and reports
- Help ensure service requests and technical interventions are recorded and followed up
- Use Excel and PowerPoint to analyze data and prepare internal presentations
- Coordinate with the engineering team and external providers for smooth operations
- Learn how hotel maintenance processes work behind the scenes
Who You Are
- A current university or hospitality/business school student (Operations or Engineering focus preferred)
- Fluent in Spanish with good English communication skills
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn
- Available for a 6-month full-time internship
- Able to sign a collaboration agreement with your university
- Legally authorized to work in Spain or enrolled in a university approved for EU internships
