**Your Role**: The Regional Market Access Manager in Spain is responsible for ensuring and maintaining access to Merck's portfolio of medicines at the regional and hospital levels.
Key functions include:
Guaranteeing optimal market access conditions for the company's products on both national and regional scales through close collaboration with various departments.
Identify risks and opportunities in the health system that allow us to act proactively to adapt to business needs.
Strengthen and develop long-term relationships with key actors in the health system, identifying needs and opportunities.
Lead access initiatives supporting field teams.
Communicates relevant changes and trends in the local health policy environment and Patient Access activities of new competitors to the cross-functional team.
Ensure compliance with updated Compliance Standards common to the entire organization.
The area of operation is Madrid, Extremadura, Canarias, Salamanca and Valladolid.
**Who you are**:
- You have a Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or Life Sciences and Postgraduate qualification, preferably an MBA.
- You have at least 5 years of experience in strategic roles within Market Access or sales in the pharmaceutical industry, with a strong understanding of drug evaluation and introduction processes in regions and hospitals.
- Experience in managing or leading commercial teams.
- You possess strong communication, negotiation, and customer orientation skills.
- You are familiar with working in changing environments and comprehensive perspective for project implementation, integrating input from all members of the cross-functional team.
- You bring a high capacity for strategic thinking and innovative problem-solving, and you integrate all team members.
- Preferably resides in the Madrid area and its surroundings.
