We are seeking a Product Marketing Manager at Alpega, the person will be responsible for the development of the Product Marketing function. This role will report into the CMO and be a member of the Marketing leadership team.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**
The Product Marketing Manager’s role is to synthesize market, customer, product and competitive inputs into driving the highest possible revenue for the business. This leader will manage the entire Alpega Shipper (TMS) portfolio of solutions.
**The role of the Product Marketing Manager involves performing activities such as product analysis, product positioning to target customers, sales messaging development, competitive analysis, and product differentiation among others.** The role is a collaborative role and incorporates some sales enablement activities, for example, creation of sales tools, communication, and training. The Product Marketing Manager will also understand intimately the details and nuances of the product’s market, buyer personas, and be able to deliver the business results in terms of sales.

**Objectives and Responsibilities**
- **Product Positioning**: The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for the product’s positioning and messaging. In doing so the Manager endeavors to understand the customer's needs and behaviors. This responsibility is pivotal for a product’s market success because it differentiates the product by ensuring that it always stays in line with customer needs and market trends. In addition to this, product positioning assures the product a competitive edge because the marketing department will be able to understand the current competitive situation at all times.
At this capacity, the Product Marketing Manager develops product messaging that is fitting to the customers current mindset and maximizes the strengths of every marketing and communication channel in the process in order to raise product awareness in the market.
- **Product Launches**: in conjunction with the Product Management team, is tasked with overseeing the product’s launch. The Manager’s objective at this capacity is to ensure a successful and integrated product launch for the product, new product features, and product solutions. The manager must show how they have created and executed product led growth campaigns with clear KPI’s attached to product adoption and usage not solely product launches. The manager also has a post-launch obligation of ensuring that the product constantly grows in the market; and that the product is constantly moving from awareness to adoption in new market segments.
- **Collaboration**: The role of the Product Marketing Manager is a collaborative one, therefore this manager is tasked with working with product management, business leaders, marketing and sales teams in the formulation of optimal product strategies, models, product education approaches, product solution creation, and execution of competitive counter-tactics. This is done with a view of enabling the achievement of the product’s market share targets.
At this capacity, the Product Marketing Manager will also work closely with the Marketing team, support, sales, commercial operation and product management teams in order to acquire customer information and customer feedback. You will also go out to acquire customer information from the source by directly reaching out to customer groups to gain product feedback, better understand market trends, and competitive factors. The acquired insight later influences product packaging and development decisions along the product’s roadmap.
- **Analytics**: The Product Marketing Manager also plays an analytical role and must be highly capable of reviewing, refining, and making recommendations on analyses conducted by the team. The Head is responsible for preparation of the final reports, analyses, and findings that are presented to the Product Management team, critical stakeholders, and external partners.
