Solutions Architect - IT - 6 Month Contract - Valencia
We have a fantastic long term contract opportunity for a Solution Architect to join a growing international team, using open-source tech to develop fit-for-purpose solutions for our global client and its end customers. Working as a freelancer either fully remote or onsite in Valencia, Spain, you'll use tools like Angular, React, Python and Django to deliver on multiple work streams. Single stage Teams interviews will take place at the end of October for someone to be onboarded in November. This role is likely to go on for multiple years.
**Solutions Architect Responsibilities**:
Leverage knowledge and domain expertise to guide teams in their transformation journey.
Contribute to ideas, discovery, solutions, and estimation efforts in support of the sales/account management process.
Dive-in to high risk or complex problems in both an architecture and engineering capacity.
Mentor product/project delivery teams to drive alignment with the architectural vision.
Lead technical discovery and work with the design team in early project phases to build a bridge to implementation.
Assist and advise project teams on project design options.
Perform research and explore open-source alternatives as opposed to proprietary software.
Draft pre-sale technical proposal.
**About you**:
Strong tech background but also a great ability to communicate architecture and design with relevant stakeholders.
Strong understanding of API design patterns (REST, GraphQL, SOAP, RPC, etc.)
Experience in Drupal 7, 8, 9 LAMP stack - PHP, MySQL.
Experience with Python based framework such as Flask, and Django.
Solid knowledge of Open Source and Cloud Native Application development.
Understanding of popular open-source databases technologies.
Experience in Web frameworks (Express, Ruby on Rails, Django, Flask, Spring MVC, etc.)
Extensive experience in one or more major cloud platform providers (AWS, GCP, Azure)
Familiar with continuous integration technologies (e.g., Terraform Jenkins, Spinnaker, Chef, Puppet, GitHub, Azure DevOps)
