RetailNext is looking for a Marketing Events Manager to join our creative, innovative and fun team As the global market leader in, in-store analytics at brick-and-mortar stores, RetailNext works with retailers and other venue operators to optimize their shoppers' experience by providing analysis and insights on the store performance. Our events, which market RetailNext's products and solutions, serve as highly effective vehicles that drive our growth as a company. We are looking for an experienced, forward thinking and hard working event manager to join the team. **Responsibilities**: - Develop a unified event and field marketing strategy spanning multiple geographies and audiences that effectively meets RetailNext's business goals. - Translate the events strategy into a marketing events plan that encompasses awareness, education, and evangelism. - Identify/recommend event-based programs that will help us fulfil our objectives (both hosting and participating). - Determine and define metrics for calculating ROI that are benchmarked against the business goals and industry standards. - Ensure the performance of each event is subsequently measured against those metrics and provide insights/recommendations based on results (post-event surveys, post-event reports etc). - Execute on the plan by coordinating all aspects of the event or activity - from venue to agenda (booking accommodation, flights etc). - Provide project management for each event from start to finish, including milestones, progress and deliverables. - Ensure the business' compliance with all event-related policies and procedures in a timely manner (permits, certifications, risk management inspections etc) - End-to-end management of all content and creative deliverables for events. - Ensure all events remain within budget. - Drive planning meetings with all stakeholders, both internal and external. - Work with trade show exhibit house vendors, industry societies, hotels, vendors, storage & shipping companies to coordinate logistics including shipping to and from events, set up and tear down, hotel rooming lists, run on-site reception, check in desk etc. - Manage and execute tradeshow promotional plans intended to maximize company exposure. - Foster beneficial relationships with external vendors/stakeholders to reveal pricing and sponsorship opportunities for event-based programs. - Maintain broad knowledge of company capabilities versus the strengths/weaknesses of competitive products. **The person who fills this role will**: - Love events and is always looking for innovative ways to deliver outstanding experiences. - Have strong written and verbal communication skills and is able to communicate technology as an approachable and understandable tool. - Have deep project management skills and be extremely detail oriented. - Have a "roll up their sleeves" mentality to ensure smooth execution of a project. - Work well with cross-functional teams and is team oriented to ensure maximum results for client and RetailNext. - Be a self-starter, is comfortable with frequently changing requirements and can work autonomously while still keeping relevant stakeholders up to date on progress. - 3+ years of experience in event or field marketing and PR - Working knowledge of marketing, CRM, and analytical tools - Experience working in a start-up or entrepreneurial environment is highly desirable. - Background in retail or customer service is advantageous. - Able to travel internationally, if required.
