**Your responsabilities**:

- Create, edit, and proofread compelling and error-free web content, including articles, blog posts, product descriptions, informative texts on EU affairs matters for public at large, landing pages, and other website materials.
- Optimize web content for search engines (SEO) by incorporating relevant keywords, meta tags, and other on-page optimization techniques.
- Ensure consistency of style, tone, and voice across all website content and adhere to corporate or European Commission guidelines to write for the web.
- Conduct thorough research on various topics to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
- Collaborate with UX team and development team to craft web content strategies (sitemaps/page structure/content provision templates)
- Identify opportunities for content mapping (sitemaps), content improvement and suggest innovative ideas for engaging and interactive web experiences.
- Collaborate with the web development team to ensure proper formatting, functionality, and user experience on the website.
- Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to web content creation and optimization.
- Maintain an organized and up-to-date content management system (mainly WordPress and Drupal), ensuring efficient content publishing and archiving processes.

**Your profile**:
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Proven experience as a web editor, content writer, or similar role, with a strong portfolio of published web content.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a high attention to detail and a solid understanding of grammar, punctuation, and style guidelines.
- Proficiency in SEO best practices and keyword research tools.
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS). We request an 3+ years’ experience with Drupal, and a good knowledge of WordPress too. A previous experience with the European Web Publishing Platform of the European Commission is considered a big plus.
- Strong research skills and the ability to gather information from reliable sources.
- Ability to work independently with a strong sense of ownership of projects, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A creative mindset with the ability to generate new ideas and approaches for web content.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
