Facilities Supervisor

**Responsibilities**:

- Supervises and coordinates the day-to-day maintenance and repair of buildings, grounds, and associated equipment.
- Oversees staff that installs, inspects, repairs, and maintains building systems, including carpentry, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and solid waste management.
- Ensures personnel correctly capture data on maintenance work order requests and preventative maintenance inspections in provided tablets for upload into the Maximo database.
- Supervises sections that maintain, and repair assigned equipment/systems and facilities.
- Supervises, directs preventive maintenance and schedules skilled and unskilled workers in routine building maintenance and repair.
- Monitors activities of outside contractors for compliance with the contract.
- Ensures daily maintenance inspections of assigned buildings and grounds are performed and in compliance with the customer's standards.
- Maintains time and attendance records for supervised employees.
- Performs related duties as required.

Qualifications:
**Minimum Qualifications**
- Graduation from High School or General Education Development (GED) certificate required.
- Five (5) years of progressively responsibility experience in building maintenance including two (2) years as a maintenance supervisor; or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- General knowledge of repair and maintenance of commercial and residential building equipment to include plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, electronics, and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
- Knowledge of related tools and equipment; safety standards and practices.
- Ability to perform a variety of facility maintenance functions.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and department heads.
- Must have a valid US driver's license.
- May be required to work more than 48 hours during the workweek and be on-call 24-hours a day.

**Supervisory/Budget Responsibilities**
- Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day responsibilities of the trades craft employees.

**Working Environment**
- Generally conducted in a shop environment and duties may involve outdoor activities with the potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions. Work will require work in areas where potential exists for exposure to extreme ambient temperatures. Work related activities may require use of Personal Protective Equipment including but not limited to head, foot, hand, torso, respiratory, vision and hearing protective devices. Compliance required with OSHA, EPA, Fire Regulations and Company work policies.
