**Mission**:
Within the company, the main purpose of the Quality Control Laboratory Analyst is to perform analysis and reporting of samples and may be assigned to any section such as raw material, finished product, validation, microbiology or stability, performs equipment calibration, documentation review, and confirmatory analysis within investigations, participates in internal quality systems including training.
This must be achieved through efficiency both in time and material resources, while ensuring compliance with company procedures, EH & S regulations as well as quality standards.
**Job Duties & Responsibilities**:
In the microbiology laboratory, some of the specific functions to be carried out are:
- Preparation of solutions, media, and culture broths under sterile conditions for the cultivation of microorganisms.
- Preparation of plates for the cultivation of microorganisms under sterile conditions.
- Perform microbiological analysis of samples, raw materials, intermediate products, and final products.
- Perform internal management of laboratory waste generated.
- Assist in the transfer of equipment and laboratory material.
- Perform measurements and calculations as indicated in analysis methods, recording the results in the established formats and the computer system.
- Carry out cleaning of laboratory instrumental material, guarantee the order of the laboratory facilities.
- Preparation of samples for shipments to clients.
- Storage and identification of product samples according to work procedures.
**Job Requirements**:
**Education**:
- Technical Quality Control Degree (FP GS) or Technical Laboratory Degree (FP GM)
- Bachelor's Degree in Science Related Field (chemistry, biology, food science etc) will be valued.
- Basic to Intermediate level of English (orally and written)
**Experience**:
- Work experience in a QC laboratory with a good understanding of analytical testing and equipment operation / troubleshooting; or an adequate combination of education and experience (practice periods).
- Current Good Manufacturing Practices, Good laboratory practices and other regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge and understanding of analytical methodologies and instrumentation.
- Principles of Environmental Health and Safety.
