**Major Responsibilities**:
- Monthly and Quarterly Closing Process: Contribute to the closing process involving Bank Transactions, Payroll, Accruals, Deferred Expenses, I/C, and Taxes for Spain.
- Monthly Close Review: Conduct thorough monthly close reviews and reconcile Balance Sheet accounts (excluding AR and AP accounts).
- Payroll Management: Oversee the monthly payment process, manage variances, handle employee benefits, ensure compliance with local payroll obligations and taxes, and manage payroll accruals.
- Fixed Assets: Take charge of fixed assets, including payment management, monthly variances, and compliance with local obligations.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with local tax obligations, including VAT and WH taxes.
- Cash Management: Maintain control over bank accounts and manage cash transactions.
- Intercompany Processing: Process and control balances for Spain in intercompany transactions.
- Statutory Audits Support: Assist in providing schedules for year-end statutory audits.
- Local Administrative Support: Offer support in local administrative functions.
**Experience**:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in General Accounting and tax preparation.
- Knowledge and experience using accounting systems like Great Plains or similar.
- Intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUPs/Pivot tables).
**Skills**:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Methodical, detail-oriented, and capable of handling a large volume of transactions.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and work under pressure to meet demanding deadlines.
- Self-motivated with a strong and flexible work attitude.
- Fluent in Spanish and English.
