Overview / Responsibilities:
WOOD is recruiting for a Logistics Coordinator to join our Procurement Department in Madrid.

Key responsibilities:
- Prepares and request for quotations (RFQ’s) for transportation of equipment and materials from vendor´s delivery place to site.
- Tabulation of forwarders quotations regarding transportation.
- Obtains all required signatory approvals, finalizes, prepares, and issues the purchase order/change notice with applicable attachments. Ensures proper distribution is made and proper assembly of the purchase order file.
- Coordination with expediting and inspection areas of the company, for the preparation and delivery of equipment and materials.
- Management of the allocation, control, issue and marshalling of materials between different work locations and supplier and the coordination of carriers in accordance with project requirements and schedule/vessel sailings.
- Production of shipping & export/import documents for all equipment and materials movements.
- Timely updating of procurement system with goods receipts / manifests / shipping documentation.
- Management of Freight Forwarding and Import/Export and Customs control activities.
- Follow-up and control of all shipments from origin until its proper delivery at site.
- Transportation invoices verification and approval.
- Adequate solving of claims and problems related to transportation.
- Maintains highest ethical and professional standards as established by the corporation.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management
Skills / Qualifications:
- University Diploma or equivalent is required
- 10 years of progressively responsible experience in international logistics activities in EPC projects
- High English level
- High Knowledge of Incoterms 2020
- Used to work within a team
- Must be intermediate to advance in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
- Collects and researches data; gathers and analyzes information skillfully.
- Meets commitments; participates in meetings.
- Writes clearly and informatively; demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.
- Contributes to profits and revenue; works with integrity and ethically.
- Follows policies and procedures; follows instruction, responds to management direction.
- Completes work in timely manner.
- Immediate availability
- Holding a valid Spanish work permit
