**Peter Lang** is an international publishing group specialising in Humanities and Social Sciences. We publish about 1,000+ books every year in German, English, and French, as well as in multiple other languages, from traditional print products to eBooks and Open Access publications.

You will experience an international work environment with lean management. The Peter Lang headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland, are the central hub for management and administration. The rest of our team is based in continental Europe, Anglo-American regions, and Asia, with offices in Berlin, Brussels, Chennai, New York, and Oxford, and supporting locations in Istanbul, Madrid, Vienna, and Warsaw.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Work with Microsoft Word to prepare, format, and finalize manuscripts according to specific editorial and style guidelines.
- Perform technical copyediting tasks, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and consistency in style.
- Review and correct formatting issues, including tables, figures, endnotes, and footnotes.
- Coordinate with editors and authors to resolve technical or formatting queries.
- Maintain version control and ensure timely delivery of high-quality documents.
**Required Qualifications & Skills**:
- Excellent technical proficiency in Microsoft Word (advanced use of styles and templates).
- Intermediate understanding of editing standards and practices.
- Strong command of written English and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to follow complex style sheets and editorial instructions accurately.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (arts and humanities).
**Desired (nice-to-have) Qualifications & Skills**:
- Working knowledge of French and/or Spanish (reading comprehension preferred).
- Experience in academic, scholarly, or technical publishing environments.
- Familiarity with editing tools or automated consistency-checking software.
- Ability to troubleshoot document formatting issues.
