**Profile**
- The Role:
The Project Controller will play an important role in the accounting and reporting activities of the group. They will continue to develop and improve the day-to-day operations, and work with accountants in the local entities around the world. They will be responsible for month-end and year-end closing activities: day to day accounting, month-end accruals, account reconciliations, invoicing, reconciliation of Spanish GAAP books to IFRS, trend analysis, forecasts, cash flows preparation of local statutory accounts.
The Project Controller will carry out the cash management, preparation of payments, relationship with banks and participate and support internal and external audits. They will be responsible for reviewing and preparing payment of local taxes in connection with tax consultants. They will ensure timely preparation and review of the corporate income tax returns, their filing as per the statutory needs and manage overall financial reporting files related to taxes both internally or externally. The Project Controller will be the liaison with local tax authorities in connection with the external accounting and tax consultants and will also be responsible for all data collection related to overall reporting needs for the local legal entities. They will ensure accounting data complies with Spanish GAAP and IFRS reporting and promote correct usage of accounts, and support continuous improvement initiatives for finance processes.

Desired Skills:

- Degree in Accounting/Finance and a recognized accounting qualification,
- At least 4 years of experience, ideally within an energy, utility, industrial company or similar industry
- Excellent Spanish and English language knowledge both written and verbal,
- Good understanding and efficiency of financial systems and technology (Spanish GAAP, IFRS, consolidation and tax). Experience with SAP is preferred,
- Project management skills are needed as well as multinational experience and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively across diverse regions and cultures.
