**Duties and responsibilities**:

Leads and manages the preparation of design documents, calculation reports and specifications for waterfront/marine civil site development (site layout, grading, storm water, erosion control, utilities, and other infrastructure systems) Plan, schedule work, and complete work assignments within established budget and timelines Mentor and assist junior engineers in developing final design plans Perform limited field observations in support of construction and data collection Determine project costs by calculating labor, material, and related costs. Creates feasibility study by analyzing engineering design, conducting environmental impact studies, and assembling data. Confirms adherence to construction specifications and safety standards by monitoring project progress, inspecting construction site, and verifying calculations and placements Conduct site visits and attend client meetings as necessary.

**Qualifications**: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Civil Engineering from an accredited university degree program Chartered Engineer registration; required 15 to 20 years of experience in site/civil engineering design including grading, drainage, hydraulics and hydrology, stormwater, erosion sediment control, and environmental permitting Minimum of 5 years of project management experience with competence in managing projects, budgets, proposal writing, and coordination with clients Competence in general civil engineering design is required including roadway, paving, grading, drainage, hydraulics and hydrology water, and sanitary sewer Experience in waterfront development projects desired but not required Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microsoft Word and Excel required Desired proficiency with XPSWMM, Hydraulic Modeling Systems (HEC), USDA Technical Releases (TR), MicroStation products

**Physical demands**:
Work is generally performed in an office or client office setting. Ability to use standard office equipment is required. Travel not required but visits to nearby worksites and meetings with clients may be necessary depending on the project.
