The role provides management and leadership to plan, prepare, and execute multiple complex and high profile initiatives. Importantly, will partner throughout the organisation identifying unmet needs, developing strategies to address and oversee solution execution/implementation.

The role would include project oversight and budget management, change implementation, and cross-functional coordination with multiple teams in and outside of OBU Medical. This role would report directly to the VP & Head of EUCAN Medical Affairs but would partner closely with Strategy, Operations & Innovation Leader for OBU Global Medical and the EUCAN Portfolio Director team and Regional Medical Leaders. The position will be based in Barcelona, Spain.

**Accountabilities/responsibilities**

**Leadership Team**:

- Partners with VP EUCAN and EUCAN Portfolio Director team to implement goals, projects, budgets, schedules, and drive performance for the organization, and monitors progress and mitigates risks for delivery of responsible projects.
- Facilitates LT meetings including Oncology EUCAN Country leadership team with the OBU Medical Affairs Heads, providing strategic input into meeting agendas, and manage action items from those meetings.
- Manage, partner with and coordinate multiple stakeholders (Global, Regional & Local), to ensure alignment of cross-Franchise and cross-Functional commitment to strategic objectives and support with initiatives e.g. Evidence generation, Portfolio prioritisation, Launch excellence etc.
- Responsible for pull-through and implementation of key functional team deliverables such as scorecards, value metrics, department forums, walking decks, leadership presentations, etc.
- Responsible for oversight of and communicating status of responsible project budget, phasing and prioritization across the business planning cycle as well as rollup into Long Range Plans.

**Project Management Team**
- Leadership of project managers responsible for supporting EUCAN Medical teams through mentorship and EUCAN-wide strategy, creating a strong team by building trust.
- Partners closely with Global Project Management Office to drive operational efficiency and excellence, streamline processes and methodologies, and identify continuous improvement and simplification, to optimise bi-directional Global-Region-Local communication and implementation.

**Required experience**:

- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in pharmaceutical industry
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Medical Affairs (Global, regional, or local)
- Comprehensive understanding of the development and commercialisation principles of pharmaceutical products
- Experience of successful influencing cross functionally, cross-culturally and cross-brands
- Experience of effective working in a multi-cultural, matrixed environment
- Experience working in a global setting, managing stakeholders within different time zones
- Experience preparing and/or delivering presentations to executive leadership
- Experience in planning and leading critical initiatives

**Preferred Requirements**:

- Graduate level degree in sciences or business degree
- Six Sigma Medical/Process Excellence and/or Project Management/PMP/FPX certification is a plus but not required
- Depth of understanding of medical, scientific and/or commercial pharmaceutical marketplace of Oncology
- Consulting experience
