Air Ticket Agent

Immediate Opening for an Air Ticket Agent that can book group air tickets in Amadeus or any GDS. This position is part of our operations team that manages air, hotel and activities bookings for school groups traveling between the United States, Europe and Latin America.

**Position description**

The Air Ticket Agent works closely with the sales and production team to find and reserve the best flight options available within budget for our clients. He/she serves as the air travel expert within the company and ensures that proper ticketing procedures and travel rules are followed. Additionally, the Air Ticket Agent will work closely with the Production Manager to identify local suppliers in the United States and manage the bookings for school groups traveling to the United States from Europe.

**Position Responsibilities include**:

- Provides fare quotes to sales team for traveling school groups. Gives guidance in flight selection based on his/her knowledge of the market.
- Works closely with sales and operations to ensure bookings are within budget and the best option available for the client.
- Arranges air reservations and routing for traveling school groups utilizing Amadeus system or other GDS system to make the group’s booking.
- Quotes correct fares for itineraries for school groups.
- Monitors flights for cost. Guide and support staff and keep them updated with relevant changes in the airline industry.
- Works closely with staff and clients to re-arrange travel plans in cases of weather, cancellations, itinerary changes, etc.
- Support staff and customers to resolve difficult issues/problems pertaining to reservations and ticketing.
- Ensure proper ticketing procedures and travel rules followed by the company.
- Is fully informed and stays abreast of all airline rules and regulations, tariffs (domestic and some international) and other industry requirements and accurately applies this information when making travel arrangements.
- Participates fully as a Production team member to assist as needed in completing all functions related to servicing the client and ground portion booking.

**Requirements**:

- 2 years ticketing in any GDS in an IATA/ARC agency in Europe or in the US.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Ability to use Microsoft Office program

You must be authorized to work lawfully in Spain. This position is _not_ eligible for visa sponsorship.
