**Associate Director - Financial Planning & Analysis**

**Location: Madrid, Spain (Hybrid)**

**Role & Responsibilities**
- Understands business partner/client markets and translates strategy into proactive plans to enable successful achievement of business results.
- Ensures that the recording, measurement, and reporting of all financial transactions adhere to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), internal IQVIA corporate policies and procedures, government regulations and local business requirements.
- Develops specific business metrics that support timely and actionable information flow for daily operational and long-term strategic planning purposes.
- Directs all aspects of planning and estimation processes related to annual budgeting and strategic plans as well as monthly forecasts.
- May develop pricing strategies, policies, and analysis
- Provides monthly financial reporting to constituencies.
- Serves as a key Point of contact between the head of the business/function supported and the Cluster CFO or next line management to ensure the business/function is synchronized with the regional plan.
- Communicates directly with Board of Directors in Spain, Portugal, and Turkey, as well as with EMEA Finance leadership team. Responsible for reporting package submissions to Cluster countries, to EMEA and to Corporate.
- Ensures achievement of business financial targets by monitoring spending, providing insight, and early warning
- Continuously identifies and monitors areas of risk and/or opportunity and their financial impact on the business.
- Reviews and analyzes new business initiatives and investments to ensure that they conform with local and IQVIA strategic vision and achieve or exceed minimum return on investment requirements.
- Manages HR, FIN, Legal, IT, Tax, DSO and treasury specific financial analysis.
- Leading transformation and digitization projects to find a more agile way of working by streamlining the processes for each region in the cluster, looking for standardization.
- Lead projects to automate processes and supports effective and efficient reporting.

**Qualifications**:

- Degree in finance, accounting, financial management, or equivalent experience
- 10+ years’ experience in business analysis, accounting, and finance - main focus in FP&A
- Work experience with Financial and CRM systems (Hyperion Essbase, Oracle Financials, Salesforce CRM, MSFT Dynamics, SAP, PSA, Concur, Azure, PowerBI /Tableau or similar BI Tools).
- Outstanding collaboration and communication skills.
- Potentially able to manage a cross-functional and cross-countries team of 5 people, starting the career at IQVIA as an individual contributor.
- Fluent in both Spanish and English
- Knowledge of automation & digitization in a professional services environment; ability to coding in different languages is a plus in order to ensure a meaningful and productive link with the technical bodies within IQVIA (or 3rd party vendors) that are involved in such automation & digitization initiatives.
- Highly proactive and impact-driven with desire for continuous improvement.
- Used to work in a multinational environment at an EMEA level, US GAAP company.

- Experience in project management. Ability to coordinate and execute complex projects with high visibility to the senior leadership independently, effectively manage time, prioritize tasks, and autonomously perform within tight deadlines. Ability to translate business issues into financial requirements and always bringing solutions to sort out the difficulties. Great level of ownership and accountability.
- Familiar with Agile, Lean and Scrum principles and practices.
