From Hays Response we are searching for an Inventory Planner/Material Planner to join a multinational chemical company based in Barcelona.
This person will be responsible for developing and implementing world class inventory policies including response actions to any issues identified.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop and implement world class inventory strategies and policies including response actions to any issues identified.
- Work with all other planning teams at the plant level to ensure inventory targets are met.
- Propose continuous improvement action/project for all related inventory processes.
- Ensure all inventory control processes are executed in line with the agreed frequency.
- Manage and control overall inventory figures & reports to achieve short and medium term financial and operating objectives.
- Lead the regional write-off and obsolescence process; coordinate with other functions (Purchasing, manufacture, Quality, Operations, Commercials etc.) to ensure proper actions and accountability on WO and obsolescence is kept.
- Be the guardian of the slow mover, overstock and block stock processes, propose action plans to reduce any risk of obsolescence and ensure a proper follow up for the materials in the scope defined.
- Conduct investigations into inventory management incidents in order to verify and resolve complaints.
- Ensure the cycle count rules are correctly implemented on the shop floor.
