The Procurement Team at Stahl Iberica is looking for a Purchasing Manager - Indirect. The Purchasing Manager - Indirect is a procurement role with a strong focus on strategic and tactical handling of indirect spend categories. This responsibility covers sourcing (including strategy setting, supplier selection and relationship management), as well as spend management (negotiation, business awarding, contracting, risk management, supplier performance improvement). Depending on the specific category, these categories can have a regional or global character. Reporting to the Regional Procurement Manager you will contribute actively to the strategic transformation of the function. Your Responsibilities: - Responsible for commercial activities from source to contract, ensuring all purchased goods & services required are appropriately negotiated and contracts bring competitive advantage to Stahl - Ensuring creation and deployment of regional/global sourcing strategies; - Understand key cost drivers, market trends and best practices across key categories of spend to support assessment of cost and value. - Ensuring that the call-off process through Coupa is according to the strategies agreed upon. - Develop and deliver procurement savings plans (TCO) on the category in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring quantifiable cashable efficiencies are identified, prioritized delivered and reported - Responsible for supplier relationship management of key suppliers in your portfolio - Deliver sustainable improvements in terms of cost, quality, service, innovation and sustainability, in collaboration with relevant stakeholders - Have a spend responsibility of ~20-30M Euros per year - Besides the category focus, the Purchasing Manager - Indirects contributes to a further professionalization of the Procurement function within Stahl Your Experience & Skills: - >8 years in a procurement, purchasing, or sourcing function (experience in Operations or Supply Chain management also valued), preferably in the chemical/coating/automotive industries. - Bachelor or Master's Degree - Relevant experience in negotiating, contracting and managing suppliers at a senior level - Proven success in driving supplier cost, quality, delivery and sustainability performance improvement programs - Understanding of the sourced category in terms of suppliers, market trends and technologies is preferred. - Team player - Strong Stakeholder Management Skills - Excellent communication, negotiation & influencing skills in English - Ability to work under mínimal supervision with broad direction - Ability to synthesize complex information and formulate strategic or tactical approaches - Action-oriented and performance-driven - Creativity and Innovation and an eye for opportunities - Dare to challenge with a Continuous improvement mentality What do we offer? - A dynamic international work environment with a friendly and supportive atmosphere. - The chance to work in a fast-growing medium-sized company with flat hierarchies and a great team. - Directly employed by Stahl with permanent employment. - Excellent fringe benefits. - Payment in 15 monthly instalments - 22 vacation days per year on a full-time basis. - Access to e-learning courses and a digital library.
