**Substance Classification Manager**

**Purpose**:
Supporting the global compliance with all applicable legislation relevant for Labelling & Packaging, transportation, storage and supply of “substances” and hazardous chemicals.

Ensure high quality and compliance with EHS processes and data for Pharma/Consumer Health and/or CropScience divisions in the SAP EHS System.

**YOUR Tasks & Responsibilities**
- Execute Substance Classification and Labelling (DG & PS) in compliance with all applicable legislations relevant (transportation and GHS - Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling).
- Maintain Goods and Product Safety data in respective systems (SAP EHS) and take responsibility for the global Safety Data Sheet.
- Evaluate changes in legislation (DG & PS) and their impact on the Substance Classification and Labelling of the Products.
- Participate in the roll-out of global processes
- Support the global Bayer community of dangerous goods and product safety experts as a consultant.
- Manage the daily operational business and ensure the timely closeout of projects and activities. Overall responsibility for the compliance of released Bayer products SDS. Overall Responsibility for the Final review and content of Desktop Procedures and Process-Workflows.
- Define, implement and control processes and measures to ensure high quality and compliance within HSE processes and data for Pharma, Consumer Health and CropScience division
- Participation as Project Coordinator in CPCO in x-functional Teams and coordination of involved departments/business areas. Act as primary contact to x-functional teams and leading discussion at internal Interfaces and Stakeholders.

**Key Working Relations**:

- Report to line manager of Chemicals Compliance Operations Lead.
- Primary contact towards HSE organisations of Pharma/Consumer Health or CropScience divisions.
- Support of Cross functional topics.

**WHO YOU ARE**

- University degree, preferable Chemistry or other natural sciences with prior of at least 8 years relevant professional experience in Product Safety/Safety Data Sheets or related fields.
- Proven track and in depth knowledge about REACH/ CLP/GHS and/or DG classification.
- Demonstrating and Developing in Leadership Attributes.
- Demonstrating proactive personal Development and Skill sets.
- Strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across and down multiple business and technology organizations.
- High learning agility and flexibility to adapt to different projects based on business demand.
- Self-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands.
- Very good analytical skills and the proactive attitude to drive process changes.
- Customer oriented mind-set, change management capabilities and Team player.
- SAP experience is a plus.
- High Proficiency and fluency in English, both written and spoken.
