**Materials Physics Center (Donostia / San Sebastián)**
The **Quantum Theory of Materials Group** at CFM is offering a postdoctoral position (19
months) starting on June 1st to work with Yue-Wen Fang and Ion Errea, in the crystal
structure prediction empowered by artificial intelligence for quantum materials, especially for
hydrogen-based superconductors.
This position will be partially funded by the IKUR Strategy
- High Performance Computing
and Artificial Inteligence (HPC&AI) 2025-2026 of the Department of Science, Universities
and Innovation of the Basque Government.
Center. The salary will be of 35.650,44 euros before taxes.
The **Quantum Theory of Materials**Group at the Center of Materials Physics addresses the
physical properties in the condensed matters. Current research topics in the group include
the understanding of physics in supercoductors and multiferroics. For more information, visit
the field of computational condensed matter physics. Expertise in AI-accelerated crystal
structure prediction will be highly appreciated for this particular position, as well as
background in many-body physics and the theory of superconducting hydrides.
