**Job Purpose**
**Main Accountabilities**
- Oversee all ground operations, including passenger services, baggage handling, aircraft ramp services, fuelling services, de-icing, weight and balance, cargo and security.
- Ensure compliance with all aviation regulations, safety protocols, and company policies.
- Supervise, train, and develop ground operations staff / providers to maintain high performance and service standards.
- Collaborate with airport authorities, regulatory agencies, and third-party service providers to ensure seamless operations.
- Monitor operational performance and implement continuous improvement strategies.
- Develop and manage budgets, ensuring cost-effective and efficient ground operations.
- Lead emergency response efforts and ensure proper contingency planning.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting related to ground operations and safety compliance.
- Address and resolve any operational issues, customer service concerns, or irregularities efficiently.
**Education**
Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Logistics, or a related field: Aeronautical engineer, industrial engineer, master/equivalent degree in aerospace or engineering, aviation manager.
**Experience**
Demonstrable minimum experience of 5 years in the area of ground operations.
**Competencies**
- Strong knowledge of airline ground handling procedures, airport regulations, and safety standards.
- Profound knowledge of all relevant parts of EU 965/2012
- Advanced Knowledge on IATA relevant manuals: AHM, DGR, LAR, ULD, PCR.
- Advanced Knowledge in SMS, Security, and Compliance Monitoring.
- Profound Knowledge in Emergency Response
- Leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle operational challenges effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work flexible hours if required under operations needs.
- Certification in ground operations, IATA training, or industry certifications is a plus.
