The position
As a Commodity Manager, you will monitor market conditions and make purchases when prices are favorable. You will study trends to identify and solve potential supply chain problems, and continually seek new opportunities for innovation. This position is to support the company globally but the main focus would be our operations in Vitoria-Gasteiz.

Main responsibilities
- Managing the company supply chain by sourcing, reviewing, and purchasing commodities.
- Updating inventory strategies where needed to increase sales and manage stock quantities.
- Evaluating, selecting, and recommending new vendors to management.
- Negotiating favorable prices and terms of purchase to maximize best commodity sourcing practices.
- Building and maintaining good relationships with commodity suppliers and distributors.
- Studying market trends and identifying any risks when sourcing and procuring commodities.
- Ensure the compliance with our organization and procedures.
- Manage the supplier panel and more particularly the manufacturers of power electronics systems.
- Take ownership in the negotiations to optimize the cost of our products bringing the targeted PPVs.
- Ensuring that project-approved budgets are adhered to.

Qualifications and requirements
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, economics, or a similar field.
- Very Good English proficiency (C1).
- SAP knowledge ideally.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in technical purchasing.
- Technical knowledge in the field of transformers and electromechanical assemblies would be great.
- Expert level in Excel.
- Willing to travel up to 25% of the time or more.
