Markem-Imaje is looking for a Health & Safety Specialist to co-ordinate, support and advise the Business on all aspects with regards to Health and Safety in Spain, in particular the Technical/Sales departments and all office employees.

**What you will do**:

- Review current policies and procedures and implement new ones to maintain safety standards
- Monitor and review all current policies and procedures to ensure their effectiveness for employees based in Spain
- Coordinate the activities of External Prevention Service (SPA)
- Ensure efficient and adequate coordination of business activities in relation to health and safety procedures
- Work in collaboration with the Office Coordinator on all health and safety matters
- Conduct Risk Assessment and enforce preventative measures as and when needed
- Design and establish a structured and compliant Health & Safety training program and manage delivery of the program
- Liaise with external auditors when needed
- Design and implement suitable emergency plans
- Organise medical check-ups planning and ensure they are complied with by all employees

**What you need to have**:

- Proven experience in the role of Safety Officer
- Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety
- In depth knowledge of legislation and procedures in relation to health and safety
- Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices
- Experience in writing health and safety reports and policies
- Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics
- Proficient in MS Office
- Working knowledge of safety management information systems is a plus
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Great attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topics
- Good level of English
