- We are a community of healthcare professionals focused on innovation, research and the advancement of cellular and stem cell-based therapies to save and improve the lives of patients with blood-related disorders.**OBJECTIVE OF THE POST**
- The Abstracts Coordinator manages the Annual Meeting abstract process, from submission to selection. The Education and Events Department Assistant provides support for administrative and operational tasks to the different units under the Department: Educational Events, Annual Meeting, and E-Learning.**RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Abstracts Coordination for Annual Meeting**:

- Development of deadlines, guidelines for abstract submission and for reviewers, and abstract system set up
- Monitoring full review process, abstract selections, awards and onsite execution
- Correspondence with abstract reviewers and submitters prior and after to deadline
- Coordination with Scientific Programme for oral abstracts and inclusion in programme; allocation and scheduling
- Preparation of material for journal publication
- Onsite: manages the poster area, oral abstract presentations, acts as part of operational team and supports the scientific programme coordinator with the faculty desk
- Online support during virtual events for participants and abstract presenters

**Department Assistant**:

- Educational Events Unit: assist the Coordinators in the planning and organization of the events and attend the meetings (onsite or virtual)
- Annual Meeting Unit: assist in the coordination of general operations, assist the Scientific Programme Coordinator, attend the onsite meeting, assist in the preparation of reports.
- E-Learning Unit: assist in the planning and execution of webinars.
- Sponsorship Unit: provide assistance for administrative tasks.

**Requirements**:

- Events/Congress Organization studies
- Experience in a customer-facing role
- Use of databases
- Intermediate MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- Fluent English both spoken and accurate grammar and spelling
- Good attention to detail
- Quick learner with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to work simultaneously on different projects and prioritize efficiently when multiple demands are present

**NICE-TO-HAVES**
- Experience in scheduling and organising small through to large scale events
- Experience in non-profit organizations

**WHAT WE OFFER**

- Based in the EBMT office in Barcelona 2 days per week, working remotely from home or from sites the other days
- Full time position and indefinite contract (37.5 hours working week) with 2 months’ probation period.
- Annually gross salary: 21.500 - 25.500 euros gross per year (depending on previous experience).
- After probation period, EBMT provides health insurance and supports nursery costs with a monthly supplement.
- Support in training and professional development.
- Some foreign travel (approx. 20 days/year Europe)
