- Applications are invited for one junior research engineer in ASIC physical design at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC-CNS). We are offering a position in the context of multiple industry-funded projects to perform and lead tasks in integrated circuit design.**Key Duties**
- Synthesis of complex ASIC RTL designs
- ASIC area, timing and power estimation
**Requirements**:
- Education
- Master in Electronic Engineering and related fields or last year master students with at least 60 ECTS of master courses.
- Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience
- ASIC synthesis and place and route EDA tools (Cadence or Synopsys)
- HDL languages (Verilog, Systemverilog or VHDL) for synthesis
- Competences
- Ability to take initiative, prioritize and work under set deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
**Conditions**
- The position will be located at BSC within the Computer Sciences Department
- We offer a full-time contract (37.5h/week), a good working environment, a highly stimulating environment with state-of-the-art infrastructure, flexible working hours, extensive training plan, restaurant tickets, private health insurance, support to the relocation procedures
- Duration: Open-ended contract due to technical and scientific activities linked to the project and budget duration
- Holidays: 23 paid vacation days plus 24th and 31st of December per our collective agreement
- Starting date: 1/10/2024
