Because thanks to your machine lines, millions of sustainable packages are produced every day. **About the position** Due to tremendous growth, we are looking to further expand our plant in Valencia, Spain, and therefore we are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer. An engineer who likes to look at the details and is creative in coming up with the right solutions. In this role, you will actively collaborate with the Lead Engineer and tackle projects together. You and your colleagues in the team work on the quality of the machine lines and develop solutions based on customer requirements. In addition, your department actively collaborates with colleagues at Huhtamaki Fiber Technology in Leeuwarden, the Netherlands. You have regular meetings and you visit the Fiber Center in Leeuwarden every now and then. **Curious about the tasks you will be performing?** You will design and create drawing packages of machines and components. You do reviews with colleagues involved in your project. You will have weekly consultations on current projects. You devise solutions to issues you receive. Think about the modification and optimization of current machine lines. You regularly have brainstorming sessions with colleagues. You think it's important to try to come up with even better ideas together. Creating manuals for revisions, new developments and process improvements; leave that to you. You incorporate feedback into drawing packages so that improvements can be made to machines. You design and discuss new developments with your own team, but also with other departments, and if necessary with customers. You advise and support technical solutions for new machines, revisions and process improvements. **Where are you going to work?** We are Huhtamaki Fiber Technology, the international R&D centre and machine line developer of the major packaging company Huhtamaki. With passion, we develop machine lines that make it possible to produce sustainable packaging for, among others, the food industry. We have a modern test centre, a pilot plant and various other departments under one roof.
