QA Manager

The role of the QA leader is to design, develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure the quality of our software products and services.

Responsibilities include estimating, planning, and coordinating testing activities. The QA Manager will also guide and improve the QA team, introducing best practices and expanding organizational testing capabilities.

The quality control leader will ensure that quality issues and defects are properly identified, documented, tracked and resolved.

The ability to quickly assess risk and ensure plans are executed are critical skills needed to perform this role.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage the quality control team.
- Participate in the design process to understand, analyze and influence the product/service to be tested.
- Identify risks and appropriate test coverage to validate new features, as well as regression, and develop plans and test cases.
- Design efficient systems to test functionalities and identify test areas that can be automated.
- Use test management tools to create, maintain, track, and run test cases; as well as using defect tracking tools.
- Plan and execute test cases, manually or automated.
- Analyze results, document problems, and prepare test reports.
- Present test and progress results and reports to the management team.
- Analyze and identify problems encountered during testing and work with QA teams and/or development teams to diagnose them.
- Understand the business aspects as well as the ways in which customers and users use the product/service to check if it is working as it should.
- Define quality metrics and implement measures to determine the effectiveness of testing, test efficiency, and measure overall product/service quality.
- Seek to continuously improve testing processes (Root Cause Analysis, Correction and Prevention) and testing tools.
- Implement critical QA knowledge transfer processes and communication with all teams.
- Train quality team members in tools and processes.
- Drive continuous improvement within the team: through internal systems, use of tools and ways of working.
- Lead a team, carry out goal setting and performance evaluation processes, advise and train your own team members.
- Lead a team and mentor its members.

**Technical and professional skills**:

- More than 5 years of experience in test engineering and software quality control.
- Experience testing cybersecurity products/services.
- Experience in defect tracking and traceability tools.
- Experience in developing test deliverables such as test plans, test cases, test data, test reports, etc.
- Experience with product development lifecycle and test cycles (e.g., unit, integration,humo), including test approach and case review.
- Knowledge of communication protocols and communications networks.
- Familiar with CI/CD processes.
- Passion for learning and mentoring.
- Passion for process automation and software quality.
- Team player, independent thinker, innovator and self-taught.
- The ability to work in a dynamic environment that can change frequently.
- Good interpersonal, written and oral communication skills in English.
- IT or engineering training

**Knowledge**:

- Experience in automated testing using any of the following tools: Cypress, Selenium, Robot framework, Karate
- Experience building test environments
- Linux knowledge and cloud environments
