Electrical Project Manager

**Key Responsibilities of the Role**:
The Employee’s responsibilities include but are not limited to;
- Management of the Electrical Systems package.
- Management of Site Safety in conjunction with the Electrical project manager and the Mercury Safety Advisor. This will include the setup, management of and clos-ing out of the safety file as part of the Management team.
- Drive a focused Quality. Health, Safety and Environmental culture within your team.
- Management of Site QA in conjunction with Mercury QA Manager including set up, management and close out of file
- Management of Project Schedule in conjunction with Mercury Project manager, consulting Engineer and Client requirements
- Management of all costs associated with your package including:

- Mercury Electrical Team
- Sub-contractors
- Material deliveries and goods receipting.
- Plant and Equipment
- Variations
- Valuations
- Management of all day-to-day site operations
- Ensure Mercury Policies and procedures are followed closely
- Management of sub-contractor activities including tracking progress against sched-ule and manpower levels. Ensure that there is a weekly meeting with sub-contrac-tor.
- Management of the Mercury “In Progress” snagging system ensuring that the su-pervisors return weekly punch lists where applicable. Ensure all snags are distrib-uted to all Sub-contractors
- Issue direct labour hours and sub-contractor hours to time administrator for track-ing centrally.
- Attendance at Site Meetings, Internal Project Reviews, Engineering Reviews, Planning and Co-ordination Meetings and Handover Meetings
- Close out of all project items including Final Account, O & M Manuals, Punch List, Safety File, QA File, Material and Plant re-locations, Project Plan - all with the support of the site project manager and your project team.
- Issue internal weekly progress report rolled up from project supervisors report. This will highlight progress percentage complete based on WBS codes and any concerns. It should also highlight any risk elements within the control of Mercury, e.g.: late deliveries. This will include all orders placed, materials expected, and labour levels.
- Issue external weekly progress report, to the project manager, highlighting areas not available, delays, shortage of design, third party hold ups and percentage com-plete
- Thorough review of design and understanding of scope, raising RFIs, coordinate the draswinsg and model with other trades, ensuring as builts are completed.
- Ensuring all works are to specification including reviewing and submitting tech subs
- Schedule material deliveries to correspond with the project schedule. Track deliv-eries in particular.
- Maintain a weekly project photographic diary
- All other duties associated with the role.
- Establish performance and delivery criteria, ensuring that client requirements are being met.
- Liaise with the client and establish a trusting relationship to ensure future project opportunities.
- Develop and administer quality control provisions; liaise on project cost estimating and value engineering, as appropriate.
- Liaise with the client on KPI development and implementation.
- Champion Mercury’s Safety implementation on site and at site Safety Leadership Teams.
- Champion Mercury’s Quality focus on site and implement ‘Right First Time’ measures
- Track and report at weekly client update meetings.
- Liaise with the Commercial team to ensure contracts, purchase orders, payment certs and change orders are issued in accordance with company policies
- Management of Mercury team on site and coordination of Internal resources with regard to travel etc.
- Planning of all resources including labour, materials and sub-contractors.
- To manage and drive a team to meet with all project requirements and deadlines.
