Game UI Artist (Barcelona)

At Games for a living, we develop exciting AAA blockchain games, as well as tools to help gamers and game developers benefit from crypto. We are expanding, and are on the lookout for an experienced Game UI Artist to join our highly motivated team.

We are looking for a Game UI Artist with the skills and experience to craft interfaces capable of delivering the best player experiences for our players. The role’s focus is the development and execution of visuals and the implementation of UI assets to support new content and products in and around Games for a living games.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work closely with artists, designers, UX, and engineers to learn workflow processes within the Unity Engine.
- Imagine and compose UI elements for use across our games in the Unity game engine.
- Create polished menu experiences that enhance player interactions and help deepen the player experience.
- Generate, maintain, and disseminate design documents such as style guides and design pattern libraries that facilitate a high-quality, consistent visual aesthetic.
- Work closely with cross-disciplinary teams to create and implement 2D assets.
- Craft visually balanced and intuitive interfaces that show an understanding of readability hierarchy, and player behavior patterns.

**About you**:
**Essential**:

- 2+ years of professional experience as a Visual Designer/Game Artist, or equivalent education.
- Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects.
- Excellent understanding of design fundamentals (layout, composition, grids, typography, etc).
- Knowledge of the game development process, including optimization and implementation.
- Experience using and integrating the generated art into the Unity framework.
- Ability to prioritize and identify and solve issues impacting the quality of work.
- Ability to take ownership and responsibility for projects from planning to execution.
- Experience managing multiple projects in a creative and fast-paced environment
- Proactive, with attention to detail, a can-do attitude, and creative flair.
- Great teamwork and communication skills.
- A passion for gaming and an interest in the blockchain.

**Nice to have**:

- Professional experience in the video game or blockchain industry.
- Experience in a secondary area such as motion graphics, illustration, animation, or modeling.
- Ability to communicate confidently and effectively in English verbally and in writing.
