We are looking for a **Senior Service Engineer** with a main responsibility in supervising Field Service Electrical & Automation activities on 4-Stroke Marine Engines and Propulsion Control Systems.
The preferred locations for this position are in Bermeo, Valencia, Barcelona, or Palma de Mallorca, in Spain.
**Your role and responsibilities**
As a** Senior Service Engineer** your work will include travelling, working on-site (mainly marine installations) in new installations or participating during overhauls, commissioning of new builds and start-up & sea-trials. For us to be the best match, we expect you to have understanding in E&A engineering and experience from working with 4-stroke engines and Propulsion equipment.
The tasks can also be adjusted based on your individual skills and interests. You'll be working as a part of the Field Service Team in Spain. You will not be working on this alone, even though the work requires a high level of independency, as you will have the support of our operation and technical offices.
**Requirements for the position**
- Good knowledge of Written and Spoken English.
- Experience in E&A Engineering, especially on Wartsila's 4-stroke engines & Propulsion Control systems.
- Speed Governors, Engine Auxiliaries Systems, Power Generations and Distribution Switchboards.
- LNG installations.
- Experience in Troubleshooting, overhauls, and commissioning.
- Availability to travel (around 80% of the time).
- Good communication and cooperation skills, especially in multicultural environments. Attention to safety- Experience in team working.
- Reporting skills.
- Experience in dealing directly with clients.
- Time management and ability to work under pressure.
