As Team** Lead Purchasing** you will be responsible for coordinating and following up a team of Purchasing Engineers in the process and tasks assigned with different commodities and vendors to fulfil the mission of the Product Company in developing, manufacturing and delivering the new products in the time, cost and quality scope defined by the Purchasing Manager. You will also coordinate the team to assure the supply chain efficiency with vendors, in daily operations, and explore new ones that fulfil the technical requirements of our product range.
You will explore, select, introduce and optimize the supply chain. You develop a solid purchasing strategy based on divisional targets by actively participating in (re)design projects and ensure the KPI´s are meeting the business targets. This implies initiating price requests and evaluating suppliers on commercial, technical, and logístical level, all whilst respecting legal and regulatory aspects. You lead and assess the preliminary feasibility of the projects cost wise and negotiate key supply agreements and systematically investigate purchasing synergies within your own department and with colleagues from other product companies. We expect you to initiate and bring into completion savings and availability projects by conducting market research and benchmarks while considering total cost, value creation and possible risks. You lead along with the SQA Team Lead the quality performance evaluation of key suppliers and the related improvement actions. You provide feedback to the Project Managers, represent the Purchasing Team and report the relevant information for the successful completion of the project at the lowest total cost. The essence of your function is to use excellent communicative skills to support interactions with both external and internal stakeholders. You will report to the Purchasing Manager.
**Education requirements.**
You hold a technical University degree in Engineering (Industrial/Mechanical/Electrical/Electronical)
A Master’s degree in Operations/Supply chain/Business management will be a plus.
**Experience requirements.**
You have performed a similar job in Purchasing, Supply chain for at least 5 years in an industry environment.
You have experience in leading teams of people and participating in product development projects.
You have experience in industrial environment, ideally in product development, electrical machinery products.
**Knowledge requirements**:
- Spanish is a must and good command English language both oral and writing, actively used in Projects and supplier relationships.
- Excel advanced user and you know the basics of Microsoft Office.
- Commercial or project experience and knowledge of AS400 and SAP is a plus.
