You’d be part of the
**Southern Europe, Middle East, Latin America, and Africa (SEMELA) Solar & Storage Section**. You will be working with diverse customers and colleagues along the region.

DNV’s SEMELA Solar & Storage Team is growing quickly to meet the expanding demand for
**expert solar energy advisory services** in the region. We support utilities, regulators, developers, owners and lenders with feasibility studies, technical due diligence, conceptual design & procurement support, and independent technical advisory services for either owner, lender or offtaker/procurer/regulator.

In this role you will have a dual responsibility, focusing on both helping with the
**delivery of solar advisory** related projects and
**developing/maintaining services** for operational solar projects as well as software tools for data analytics purposes.

You would be the technical expert supporting your colleagues in the team with your knowledge on solar technology and design, operational performance, equipment/project failures, operation and maintenance strategies and testing across the SEMELA region.

Most of the work will be desk based, but travel for site and customer visits will be required at times (estimated at 5% to 20% of your time, depending on the projects you are involved in).

**Main duties will include but are not limited to**:

- **Execute and/or manage advisory services** for solar projects in operation, including technical due diligence, EPC/O&M contract review, operational performance assessment, operation and maintenance strategies review and monitoring, report writing, presentations, courses, etc.
- Work with a team of experts on **internal development projects** for enhancing our competences and software tools, as well as constantly improve our services for operational solar projects.
- Work the majority of your time on chargeable projects.
- Analyze new business opportunities, gather market intelligence and ensure distribution of knowledge amongst relevant colleagues.
- Build an internal & external network to gain and share knowledge and opportunities.

Position Qualifications:

- **Bachelor's degree** in Engineering
- ** 5+ years’ experience** in the **(renewable) energy sector**, of which 3+ years providing **consultancy services** and/or **asset management services**:

- ** Technical expertise** in solar PV technology, electrical balance of plant design & specifications
- Experience **assessing operational performance** of solar PV projects.
- Sound understanding of **operation and maintenance strategies** for solar PV projects.
- Experience must also include a working knowledge of solar **PV related regulations, codes and standards**;
- Experience with **IEC** and other relevant certifications in the industry
