We are looking for a Intern Mechanical Design Engineer in Barcelona:
**About your job**:
As Intern Mechanical Design Engineer, your main responsibilities will be:

- You will be part of our mechanical department collaborating closely with the propulsion team.
- Your primary responsibility will entail serving as a mechanical design engineer for the development of rocket engines, working along the propulsion engineers to provide efficient and lightweight solutions.
- You will also be expected to occasionally independently research on topics related to e.g. light-weight construction, materials, manufacturing techniques, etc. in order to find answers and solutions to specific problems.
- The scope of this role includes CAD design activities, managing complex assemblies, performing trade-off analysis and producing detail drawings.
- The internship’s main goal is to offer support to the development of Pangea's rocket engines.

**What you need to be successful**:

- Bachelor’s degree in aeronautical/astronautical, aerospace or mechanical engineering.
- Creative problem solver and an independent learner.
- Team player. We value collaboration and interdisciplinary team work on our day-to-day tasks.
- Experience preparing technical documentation, drawings and presentations for stakeholders.
- Experience using CAD tools, preferable Siemens Nx
- Experience managing large and complex assemblies.
- Good understanding of load/stress analysis and solid mechanics.
- Fluent English. Spanish is a plus.

**Other useful skills**:

- Msc in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or similar engineering field
- Knowledge on rocket engines and its architecture.
- Experience with PLM tools, preferable Teamcenter.
- Experience with geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T) is a plus.
- Knowledege in design for manufacturinng.
- Knowledge in finite element analysis (FEA) and performing stress analysis.
