THE HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT

The Alira Health HR department is seeking a highly professional HR Assistant to be responsible for coordinating the administration of company benefits, payroll, onboarding and various other HR programs and functions. S/he will also assist with other human resources responsibilities including recruitment support and administrative responsibilities. This individual must have previous HR experience, have an extremely high attention to detail and a strong customer service approach.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Recruitment, Onboarding and Employee Experience
- Prepare offer packages, contracts, conducts reference checks, etc.
- Complete orientation process with new hires ensuring they are properly onboarded and receive all necessary information to enroll in benefits and other company programs.

Payroll
- Track and enter data for new hires, changes, etc.
- Create reports as requested such as employee census, term reports, etc.
- Work with external payroll provider to ensure that all required filings and reporting is completed.
- Ad hoc projects, as needed.

Administrative
- File maintenance and annual document updates.
- General organization and execution support of a variety of annual HR related matters.

PREPARATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- BA/BS degree; with a concentration in HR or business. Comparable experience also considered in lieu of formal educational background.
- 2 years of human resources experience. Experience working in the consulting or healthcare industry preferred, but not required.
- Experience in the administration of human resource programs
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Must have a meticulous attention to detail.
- Adept at working in a fast paced, growing company.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to handle data confidentially and with discretion.
- Excellent computer skills and comfort with technology; strong Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills; knowledge of Workday valuable.
- Self-starter who thrives in collaborative, yet less structured team environment.
