Technical Consultant

As our new Technical Consultant in Floating Wind, you will be part of our growing Project Development & Advisory Team in Spain and part of our Floating competence group working in close cooperation with our Global Floating Wind Engineering Service Line. You will take on a role as technical advisor supporting our consultancy services we provide in floating wind. Our assignments are of a diverse nature with both well-known and new market players, as well as joint ventures and investment funds, and cover a broad scope of services as well as potential combination with other technologies, such as Power-to-X, where we would make use of the wider Ramboll expertise.

**Your tasks and responsibilities**

As part of a multidisciplinary project team, you will take on diverse tasks and responsibilities in international projects of varied complexity and scale, such as:

- Support the definition and business case preparation with from a technical perspective for the floating offshore wind projects within origination and early development projects supporting our clients on identifying the most suitable technical concept as per the corresponding site conditions, local market conditions (e.g., localization requirements) and risk appetite
- Provide technical advice for floating projects in a varied range of assignments, covering conceptual engineering and design tasks as well as T&I and logistics studies to provide a technical basis for our broader consulting scopes
- Deliver technical due diligence assignments
- Support the technical preparation, coordination, and management of the floating foundations scope tendering processes in collaboration with external stakeholders and our clients, including review of offers and their subsequent technical evaluation
- Act as an interface between the engineering and advisory services, contributing with both technical engineering work as well as technical advisory

**Your qualifications**
- Engineering degree in a relevant discipline; a master’s degree or other advanced degree is preferred
- Prior working experience in floating offshore wind is preferred
- Initial experience in offshore wind project development, execution and / or operation within a project developer organisation or in an Owner’s Engineer role within the relevant field is beneficial
- Basic understanding of design and engineering, project economics, interfaces, risks and commercial aspects of offshore wind farm development
- Engineering and technical skills related to naval architecture, T&I, logistics, hydrodynamic and structural analyses and design of floating structures and their mooring systems, allowing you to perform conceptual technical analyses and understand complex technical interdependencies
- High level of proficiency in written and spoken English; additional languages are beneficial
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team environment and effectively prioritize multiple tasks
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Talent for presenting complex technical results and key conclusions to non-technical audiences
