**ROLE SUMMARY**:
King’s College, world-renowned for academic excellence and student leadership, is seeking to appoint a dynamic, inspiring and ambitious professional to the position of Secondary Teacher of Economics for a paternity leave cover to join our teaching team on a temporary basis in January/February 2025.

We are looking for enthusiastic and committed teachers who would like to join our school located in the beautiful city of Madrid.

Located on the outskirts of Madrid, King's College, Soto de Viñuelas is a vibrant, dynamic, and forward-thinking school which embraces diversity and is committed to ensuring success for all our pupils.

Applicants must be eligible to work in the EU and be fluent in English.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- To act as a role model for teaching and learning,
- To make a distinctive contribution to raising standards across the school
- Provide a sustained and consistent collaborative contribution to the wider work of the school, either internally or outside the school
- Proactively seek, create and lead on opportunities that have a demonstrably positive impact on creating an outstanding learning environment.

**THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE**:

- Experience of IGCSE, A Level and IB Economics
- Ability to teach A lever or IB Business Studies is desirable
- Previous Head of Department or middle management experience is desirable
- Independent sector or international experience is highly desirable
- Excellent working knowledge of the English National Curriculum, the IB Diploma and recent developments
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Pastoral responsibility or experience would be an advantage
- Willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school
- Knowledge of Spanish, or willingness to learn Spanish would be an advantage
