Look at the BSC experience: BSC-CNS YouTube Channel Let's stay connected with BSC Folks We promote Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, fostering an environment where each and every one of us is appreciated for who we are, regardless of our differences. **Context And Mission** The final goal of this project is the study of complex systems of condensed matter models. **Key Duties** - Numerical and analytical investigation of out-of-equilibrium quantum systems - Implementation of HPC algorithms for quantum systems - Analysis of non-equilibrium many-body phenomena and preparation of scientific publications **Requirements**: - Education - Master's degree in Physics or similar - Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience - Good understanding of quantum mechanics on graduate level - Expertise in numerical programming in C++/Julia or other modern languages - Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience - Knowledge of non-equilibrium quantum many-body physics and statistical mechanics - Research experience demonstrated by publications/preprints/reports will be a plus - Competences - Problem-solving, pro-active, result-oriented work attitude - Capacity to interact and build strong relations with the team - Good communication skills including a good command of the English language (written and spoken) **Conditions** - The position will be located at BSC within the CASE Department - We offer a full-time contract (37.5h/week), a good working environment, a highly stimulating environment with state-of-the-art infrastructure, flexible working hours, extensive training plan, restaurant tickets, private health insurance, support to the relocation procedures - Duration: predoctoral contract - Holidays: 23 paid vacation days plus 24th and 31st of December per our collective agreement - Starting date: 01/09/2025 **Applications procedure and process** - A full CV in English including contact details - A cover/motivation letter with a statement of interest in English, clearly specifying for which specific area and topics the applicant wishes to be considered.
