**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Education and qualifications**:
**Required: -**

Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Sciences or related and Master’s in Neuroscience or related.
- Specific training in laboratory research: animal experimentation, molecular biology techniques and histology
techniques.
- Additional training in bioinformatics for biomedical research**_ _**will be highly valued.
- Fluency in Catalan, Spanish, English (business level)

**Desired: -**

Specific/Additional training in whole-genome expression analysis (transcriptomic microarray analysis)
- Fluency in Catalan, Spanish, English (business level)

**Experience and knowledge**:
**Required: -**

Must have at least 5 years of experience working in animal models (previous work with neurodegenerative
diseases will be valued).

Experience and knowledge of animal experimentation techniques (stereotaxic injection of AdenoAssociatedViral
Vectors (AAV), brain dissection).
- Experience and knowledge of laboratory histological techniques (e.g. stereological cell analysis, IHC, IF,
confocal microscopy) and molecular techniques (e.g. laser capture microdissection, ELISA, RTqPCR, WB,
nuclei sorting with FACS).
- Experience in specific software for image and data analysis (GraphPad, R, Slide Scanner, StereoInvestigator)
- Ability to work in a teamwork oriented environment
- Proficiency in oral and written English skills.
- Excellent communication skills.

**Desired: -**

Previous experience with _single-nuclei RNA sequencing_ and nuclear sorting will be valued.
- Experience with R and gene expression analysis data representation

**Main responsibilities and duties: -**

Analyze gene expression transcriptomic data from a new animal model.
- Prepare data for publication and manuscript elaboration

**Labour conditions: -**

Full-time position: 40h/week.
