Role Overview

A Global Broking Rates desk in Madrid is seeking a Junior Broker to join their team. We are looking to engage with local graduates who are fluent in both English and French (written and verbal) and are at the early stages of their career.

Please note this is an entry level role into the world of Financial Services. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop a career in broking, gain exposure to global markets, work within a dynamic and fast-paced trading environment and gradually work up to becoming a Broker with clients and regular lines of business.

Role Responsibilities- Promote TP ICAP Group.- Ensure timely input of trades into trading systems and via Bloomberg.- Keep pricing screens and trade records up to date.- Provide complete support (operational and administrative) to the brokers for the smooth running of the desk, making sure brokers can remain at their desks to trade.- Resolve any trade queries received internally and externally and ensure any trade discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner.- Provide input on various projects for brokers and traders.- Provide trade details to brokers and traders on a daily basis.- Undergo training leading to direct client communication.- Monitor markets and follow financial news and developments.- Assist with the on-boarding of new clients.- Develop on the job (study, pass qualifications, look for opportunities / exposures to grow).

Experience / Competences

Essential- Recent graduate who is looking for their first opportunity.- Fluent French and English language skills (verbal and written).- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment, can keep emotions under control in difficult situations with proven resilience.- Self-starter who can use their own initiative.- Evidences professional and personal integrity at all times.- Hard working and willingness to learn.- Handles situations and problems effectively using own initiate.- Demonstrated patience and understanding as it relates to training and development.- Building relationships and networks with both internally and externally wherever possible.- Demonstrates ability to work effectively with others.- Seeks opportunities for improvements.- Demonstrates high levels of energy in seeking out and achieving new goals.
