Principal Cloud DevOps

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with deep experience and knowledge in Cloud and an open-minded personality, who can join our friendly environment and become a core contributor to our team of experts.

**This is a hybrid position in Barcelona, with weekly office presence (1-2 days).**

**Responsibilities**
- Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Automate provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation)
- Manage containerized environments using Kubernetes and Docker
- Ensure scalability, reliability, and cost optimization of cloud resources
- Implement automated testing, deployment, and rollback strategies
- Support blue/green and canary deployment models
- Integrate security (DevSecOps) and compliance checks into delivery pipelines
- Implement observability frameworks, including logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting
- Troubleshoot performance and availability issues in cloud environments
- Manage disaster recovery, backup strategies, and high-availability designs
- Proactively optimize infrastructure for performance and cost
- Implement and manage FinOps practices to control and reduce cloud spend
- Monitor and report on cloud resource utilization and financial impacts
- Deliver cost-optimization initiatives, including recommendations and implementation of right-sizing, reserved instances, and workload scheduling
- Collaborate with engineering and business teams to balance performance with cost efficiency
- Work closely with development, QA, and data engineering teams to enable cloud-native workflows
- Document infrastructure, processes, and playbooks to ensure operational excellence

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience
- 7+ years of relevant work experience in DevOps or a similar role
- At least 2 years of relevant leadership experience
- Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS - preferred, Azure, or GCP)
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi, Ansible, or CloudFormation)
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or ArgoCD)
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and microservices architectures
- Familiarity with monitoring/observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, or cloud-native solutions)
- Scripting skills (Python, Bash, Go, or similar)
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Effective communication and collaboration skills across engineering and product teams
- A continuous improvement mindset with a focus on automation and efficiency
- English language proficiency at an Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or higher

**Nice to have**
- Background in multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments
- Exposure to security and compliance frameworks (SOC2, GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001)
- Experience in data-intensive or regulated industries (finance, pharma, healthcare)
- Familiarity with serverless and event-driven architectures
