Parameta Solutions
Parameta Solutions is the Data & Analytics division of TP ICAP Group. The business provides clients with unbiased OTC content and proprietary data, in-depth insights across price discovery, risk management, benchmark and indices, and pre and post-trade analytics. Its post-trade solutions offering helps market participants control their counterparty and regulatory risks through a growing range of tools that manage balance-sheet exposure, as well as compression and optimisation services. The Data & Analytics division includes the following brands: Tullett Prebon Information, PVM Data Services, ICAP Information and Burton-Taylor Consulting.
Role Overview
The Senior Product Engineer within the Parameta Solutions Risk Team is a highly dynamic role focused on developing innovative risk data solutions that align with client needs and company strategy. This role is unique as it spans the entire product lifecycle, requiring close collaboration with product managers, developers, data scientists, and quantitative analysts to drive product development, strategy, and market adoption.
Role Responsibilities
Product Development & Strategy- Support the Head of Risk Data Products and Senior Product Managers in designing risk and valuation solutions following Parameta Solutions' Go-to-Market methodology.- Take ownership of validated product ideas, defining their commercial strategy, technical requirements, and operational workflows.- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely execution of product roadmaps.- Work closely with the Quantitative and Data Science teams within Parameta Solutions and TP ICAP Group to build and enhance best-in-class risk products.
Product Innovation & Enhancement- Drive the onboarding of new financial instruments and data sets into existing risk products.- Research and suggest new product ideas, conducting feasibility studies and proof of concepts (PoCs).- Perform and supervise testing and validation of risk models, ensuring alignment with market conventions.- Support the design and implementation of cross-asset risk solutions, integrating new methodologies where applicable.
Technical & Data Analysis- Utilize Python, SQL, and database management skills to extract and analyse data for risk product development.- Work with Numerix and other third-party analytics tools to refine risk model outputs.- Assess pricing model output both qualitatively and quantitatively, identifying necessary adjustments and enhancements.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication- Serve as a bridge between technical teams and commercial functions, articulating complex risk concepts in a clear, actionable manner.- Prepare and deliver presentations for internal stakeholders and clients, ensuring alignment on product capabilities and benefits.- Maintain comprehensive documentation on products, processes, and enhancements.- Train and support operations teams and sales teams on new product implementations.
Experience / Competences
Essential- Master’s degree in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Quantitative Finance, or a related technical field.- Cross-asset derivatives and market risk expertise, with deep understanding of OTC markets.- Proven working knowledge of derivative pricing models, including vanilla & exotic options pricing.- Market conventions for bespoke valuation & hedging strategies.- Experience assessing and validating risk model outputs, including necessary adjustments.- Product management experience: Demonstrated ability to manage the full product lifecycle (from idea to market launch).- Technical proficiency in Python and SQL for data extraction and analysis.- Technical proficiency with Numerix and other risk analytics platforms.- Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other presentation tools.- Demonstrated communication skills, with ability to translate technical concepts for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.- Ability to work across multiple teams and functions in a fast-paced, complex environment.
