**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Education and qualifications**:
**Required**:

- Degree in Medicine
- Specialist training in Paediatrics (via MIR or equivalent)

**Experience and knowledge**:
**Required**:

- At least 1-year experience in Paediatric Haematology, Oncology and Stem Cell Transplantation (during or post-residency)

**Desirable**:

- Training in biomedical research, good clinical practice, stem cell transplantation, palliative care, advanced life support
- Experience in Clinical Trials in Paediatric Haematology & Oncology
- Experience in Research in Paediatrics
- Good communication skills and good team player
- Knowledge of medical English

**Main responsibilities and duties**:
The Paediatric Haematology and Oncology Division of Vall d’Hebron Hospital treats around 120 children and adolescents with cancer

per year as well as up to 500 new patients with haematological conditions and performs 50 stem cell transplantations. The unit is

part of the European Innovative Therapies for Children with Cancer (ITCC) consortium and has an ambitious clinical research program

including early and late phase trials, a personalised medicine programme and multiple lines of research in stem cell transplant,

sarcomas, neuroblastoma, CNS tumours and non-malignant haematology. All research is conducted through the Translational

Research in Child and Adolescent Cancer Group of VHIR. There are 30 early phase and 18 late phase clinical trials ongoing. The

- Participation in recruitment and trial-related activities of patients enrolled in late phase clinical trials & registries

(Haematology, Oncology & Stem Cell Transplant).
- Assistance to trial principal investigators (paediatric haematology & oncology consultants) with day-to-day conduct of late
- phase trials & registries at the Paediatric Haematology and Oncology Division of Vall d’Hebron Hospital

**Labour conditions**:

- Part-time position 70% at VHIR. Option to join the hospital’s clinical team to participate on the Paediatric Haematology and

Oncology on call rota (to be discussed with applicants during the interview).
- Start: As soon as possible
- Gross annual salary [For the 70% position-28h/w]: 19.229,34 €
