OUR SCHOOLS:
Teachers in our schools work together to provide an exceptional standard of British education to our students enabling them to succeed and develop their education. British School Alzira is an independent, co-educational school situated in a stunning mountain location 40km to the south of Valencia, Spain. With easy access to the Mediterranean coast we provide an educational environment second to none.

British School Xativa opened in September 2009. Set in extensive grounds beneath the historic castle of Xativa it provides a modern, bright and spacious learning environment.

British School Gandia, opened in September 2015, currently provides education from Pre-Nursery through to Year 9. Set in the coastal resort of Gandia the school is growing rapidly.

On site facilities in all our schools include a library, tennis courts, swimming pools, an ICT suite, ballet room, indoor PE area, shaded outdoor play areas, science laboratories and generously proportioned classrooms.

Staff work together across the three schools to provide a consistent learning experience for our pupils.

For September 2024, we are looking for a motivated, flexible and dynamic KS3 Science and iGCSE Biology teacher able to teach some maths in lower KS3, who can teach a balanced curriculum.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS);
Experience of teaching KS3 science and maths;
Experience of teaching KS4 Biology;
Successful record of planning and delivering engaging learning activities;
Knowledge of the British Curriculum.

SALARY

27,000€ gross per year.
The school offers an annual return flight allowance and has a dedicated personnel support assistant to assist teachers in relocation and adapting to their life here in Spain.

All teachers are offered a full-time permanent contract from day one of working in our schools.

We have our own internal pay structure with our salary set significantly above the national salary for teachers in Spain. Benefits for teachers include free education fees for children, an annual flight allowance and work based private medical insurance.

We also support teaching staff with all aspects of relocation. This includes a pastoral care administrator to register our teachers within the Spanish social security and health system. This person deals with all aspects of relocation including finding accommodation and supporting teachers in any aspect of their life here in Spain.
